ALAN TURING
The story of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown offering a posthumous apology to Alan Turing was broadcast on September 11th but, I’ve been thinking of Mr. Turing non-stop since then.
"British Prime Minister Gordon Brown offered a posthumous apology Friday to Alan Turing, a World War II code-breaker who was later prosecuted for being gay. The apology came following an online petition started by computer scientist John Graham-Cumming, author of The Geek Atlas.
